Randomly I have rediscovered my interest in the branch of robotics known as BEAM. These are robots typically lack microprocessor control and extraneous sensors. Some are simple, with others considerably more complicated. I find it interesting that just through the use of simple electronics it is possible to build hexapod walkers that can compensate for the loss of a limb. Since the discovery of a soldering iron in the back of my car [I have no idea where it is from] I think I will get a Photopopper or similar. I quite like the idea of having a colony of solar powered robots living in my lounge.
