Two indispensable tools for the weather-obsessed, from Metcheck:
Will it rain? – A 60km radar plot around the location of your choice, complete with rainfall intensity and wind speeds.
Cloudcast – Does exactly what it says on the tin. % high, medium and low cloud cover. Very handy for planning observing sessions. There is nothing more annoying than setting the video for the program you are going to miss, then setting up the telescope only to find the clouds are rolling in. So I pack up the ‘scope and go in, but now I can’t watch the program I’m taping and there’s probably nothing else on.

It doesn’t work!!! The cloud thingy… Probably cos I am in Australia… tee hee… But, you guys sure have good clouds!
Most of the clouds are probably related to the phemonena known as ‘clouds in the box’. They evidently escaped from the packaging of my camera so that it rains all the time and I can’t take photos outside.
