I have implemented the WP ‘asides’ hack, almost completley painlessly thanks to an excellent guide by Podz. Essentially it posts a post to a category which is styled differently to the main ones, so as to create a ‘link-log’ list (as below this post). With a bit of fiddling I have managed to exclude these ‘asides’ posts from the category and recent posts sections to keep things tidy. Not sure whether I shall use it much but at least it will be there for subjects that don’t justify a whole post to themselves.
