Place navigation on the left of the screenProbably the only reason to like my computer at the moment – I got hold of a copy of Elite II – Frontier at the weekend and it works on my PC. My brother had it for the Amiga A500 back in the days before we upgraded the RAM to an awesome 1Mb and it was responsible for wasting many hours of our time. (Incidently he also wore out the < and > keys on our ZX48 twice by playing the original Elite for hours at a time). The PC version is pretty much as I remember (with a few bugs removed) and the the fact that it runs in Dos at something like 320×240 doesn’t matter beacause the gameplay is good.
For those who have any recollection of Frontier, I am still hauling freight between Sol and Barnard’s Star (in a nice green spotted Tiger) while I save up for something slightly more dangerous.
