Making large pictures out of lots of little ones seems to be quite a thing at the moment. To further my obsession with dots, I found (via Lotta’s blog) the rasterbator; not some dredlock fetish site, but instead allows you to create huge (i.e. 20m) pictures from a single image. My first effort1 is only 1.2m by 0.9m though I am planning a slightly larger version to put on the wall in the living room (though how I am go to mount it I don’t know). [Click for a larger version]
Take a loook at the gallery of rasterbation to see what other people have done, or have a quick rasterbate yourself.

mm yea I really like the idea of the rasterbator. my only problem is that I don’t have enough wall space for one of those huge pictures. and it doesn’t really work if the picture made is too small.
Ohh I’ll monitor this with interest, really fancy doing this somewhere.
As for the photo – Stansted Airport?
I have lots of wall space, though I think if I make a picture too big, I won’t be able to get far enough away to see it properly.
Gordon – right with it being an airport, though not Stansted. It’s Charles De Gaulle, terminal 2 (I think). 3/4 of a point I think.
