Shamelessly stolen from Ben Saunders1, and for the same reasons. 28 things to do by this time next year, when I guess I will have to come up with 29 more2.

  1. Tour Norway/ Sweden and/ or Finland.
  2. Do more Tai Chi.
  3. Decide if enjoy my job – Commit more if I do, or quit and do something else instead.
  4. Buy a road or recumbent bike.
  5. Use the above to commute to work.
  6. Be more sociable.
  7. Stop saying yes to everything.
  8. Blog more, or less, but better.
  9. Cycle more miles per week, regardless of weather.
  10. Learn another language (or improve the ones I already have).
  11. Take more photos.
  12. Be happier.
  13. Spend more time with those important to me.
  14. Keep in touch better.
  15. Start growing vegetables again.
  16. Take a holiday (I’ve had 1½ days off this year).
  17. Remember that money is a renewable resource, time is not.
  18. Become more flexible.
  19. Lurk less, comment more.
  20. Visit New York &/or San Francisco.
  21. Boulder consistently at grade B5 (UK 6a/b).
  22. Spend more time under the stars with my telescope.
  23. Join a box scheme.
  24. Learn to cook more things.
  25. Carry out more random acts of kindness.
  26. Somehow manage to watch season 6 of at West Wing while simultaneously catching up on seasons 3 – 5 on dvd.
  27. Sleep better. An average of 5 hours really isn’t enough on a work night.
  28. Get back into helping out at Wordpress.org again.

Many of the above are going to be difficult to qualitatively say whether I have achieved them, but it will be interesting to look at them in another 365 days.

1 If you haven’t visited his site, you should – he has done more at the same age as me than most people achieve in a long lifetime.
2 Or more likely 1 more due to not doing any of the above due to procrastination.
