Place navigation on the left of the screenMy small but rather nice sounding Yamaha speakers have finally passed on1 with an unpleasant death-rattle now acompanying any music played above about 60dB.
So, I am on the lookout for a new set – SoundSticks would be nice but maybe a little spendy, and I have a feeling they may be form over function. They will only be for the bedroom, so I don’t need a huge amount of power just good quality sound.
Any suggestions for ones to look at (or avoid like the plague) would be greatly appreciated.
I am also planning to get a slightly bigger set for the lounge sometime, along with an amp and some contraption to get music off the laptop wirelessly2.
1 They were on their way but I think it was The Prodigy’s ‘Razor’ at full bore (I left the iBook on full volume by mistake), that was the final nail.

Those sound sticks look funky I have to say. I think your right that they are more form over function. For me My cambridge works sound system makes my PC come alive. Especially for gaming and music.
Thanks Joss, I’ll look into those. Further research suggests the Soundsticks aren’t all about form, but sound ok too.
