Actually the post is a response and warning regarding a leaked developer version that is now available (and easy to find should you want it1), and any official release date is being kept quiet – the cake will be done when the cake is done.
I think this is a lot more than just a little addition to the current version, as it represents the first true OS X – Windows VOIP/video client which does not need assorted apps to get it working (such as iChat to MSN).
