Yet more proof that pro cyclists are insane: Floyd Landis is riding the Tour De France while needing a hip replaced1. Apparently he is suffering from osteonecrosis (bone death) which is making the head of his femur grind nicely in his hip joint, and he just got round to letting his team know.
Other notable endurers include Tyler Hamilton who rode in 2004 after breaking his collarbone (and subsequently needed a lot of teeth capped), and Eddie Mercx in 1975 with a broken jaw.
