Back to shooting indoors again, which means I can actually put together a decent group – for some reason I really struggle outside. My bow now sports a few extra pieces of carbon fibre, and as a result1 my scores have crept up to the 530-540 range, with a lot more consistency2. Unfortunately the only bits left to replace in the search of higher scores are new arrows or new limbs, neither of which are cheap, and I am not sure the £/point benefit is worth it3.
On a less good note, it seems my previously problem free ISP has taken to the shady habit of traffic shaping. The resulting latency is no fun for online games, although downloads and browsing are mostly unaffected. At least it does not seem to be as extreme as the shaping Tiscali used, where everything bar straight browsing was crippled between 6pm and 11pm. Still, when you pay for a service you do not expect the quality to down, especially when they keep racking the claimed speeds up.
