Got back from a holiday with B on Saturday. We went down to Dorset for a week, staying in an open plan cabin on the side of a valley. The weather was great every day, I think we saw 2 raindrops all week, and got to have breakfast outside every morning. Naturally my telescope came with me, and I had four sessions in 7 nights with a couple of nights good enough that the dark lane and lumpy bits of the milkway were visible. B and I managed about 5 miles of walks each day, and got a chance to visit several old hill forts, aswell as walks on the beach. We also visited Brownsea Island (one of the few Red Squirel strongholds left in the UK), but unfortunately didn’t get to see any.
