Typophile is a community for graphical artists/ font designers etc… One of the projects is an attempt to collaboratively design a font by getting a hive mind to decide whether a pixel of the charcter should be white or black. It will interesting to see whether it ends up looking like Arial or Times [an ‘average’ font], or evolves into something more. I would like to think there are hard-core typophiles battling over individual pixels, trying to get it to conform to their ideals. The process can be animated too, so you can see evolution in action.
I hope this can be developed further to give colaborative art - say a 320*240 array [to start with], with the public choosing the colour of each tile from a pallette.
