Yesterday, the iBook or PC dilema was not helped when I found this, which would appear very much to be the Windows equivalent. Previously I was leaning towards the Mac as I couldn’ t find an affordable notebook with a battery life of more than about 2 hours. Now its pretty much down to a choice of operating systems.
Apple or MicroSith? The ruminations continue.

Tosh build rubbish laptops. Apple build good ‘uns.
Dell and some IBM laptops are also very good.
I’ve just encouraged a friend to move from an old mac to a PC laptop -and he loves it. He was also very glad to save around £500 -So much for ’switch’. Mind you if it wasn’t for XP and we still had Win 98 -I’d have told him to stick with macs.
Yeah but Apple stuff is so gosh-darned sexy. Get a friggin Powerbook!
Sorry, me again. This site seems to have cheap Apples http://www.vizik.com/
Sexy?
are you going do work on it or f**k it?
are you really going to pay over the odds for a bit of kit because it’s over made-up whore? craaaazzzzzy people.
Hmm, Mac/Windows, big screen/small screen, different manufacturers. Too many choices. I think I need to get to a decent computer shop and start pressing buttons.
On the cost/style front I wouldn’t pay over the odds, but a bit of extra class is worth a few pence in my book. Function first, but form is important in enjoying the use.
Hmm. I’m an apple babe. Think of the operating system. Unix. Stability. I just bought something from Vizik (Sony Clie PEG UX50) and while I’m entirely happy with it I’m pretty certain there’s no warranty, so it’s worth checking.
I think I have cut it down to the (small and shiny) Toshiba or a (big & black) IBM Thinkpad R51. Both being similarly spec’d, differing only in size and colour. The Mac is still on the list, though an outsider - anyone got a three-sided coin?
