Spent a while last night getting recent iTunes tracks to display on my test site [prior to letting loose here]. Didn’t have any luck getting the hack to work, but eventually found a 1.2 plugin here. Downloaded Kung Tunes and after a bit (ok, a lot) of fiddling with the preferences, got it outputting the way I wanted. Decided it must be midnight ish and time for bed. Looked at the clock - 2am.
Updated: It even works on my proper blog. Its over there ===> [and down a bit].

Hmmm…the page reloaded before I had finished commenting…Anyway:
Hi Ian
You were so kind to put a comment on my blog the other day, and I’ve just posted this reply on my blog:
“Hi Ian
I obviously need to upload the track info from iTunes to either the server that holds my WP files (preferably).. or some other server. Should I create a new folder to hold these track infos at the root or just upload ‘em to the root? Should I use HTTP POST or FTP?
I’m sorry to say, but I guess it’s pretty much everything about it…how to integrate the track infos into the relevant wp-files, so that the track infos can be displayed, where to upload (which folder), what to add to the WP index-file, where to place the output on the blog (which tags to use etc.).
As you can see I’ve got close to no knowledge about php, MySQL and http, so I find it quite difficult figuring out how to get this to work.
I’ve checked your blog (which looks absolutely great!!!), and the way you’ve managed to get the track info to turn up on your blog, is exactly what I’m looking for.
If you have the time and patience to explain to me what exactly you’ve done, I should be able to just “copy your method”, - I would really appreciate it….if it’s inconvenient, you don’t have the time or just don’t feel like it, I fully understand!”
Edit: I now see there’s a hack I can use which will make things a little bit easier for me. I’ve created the “my-hacks.php-file and uploaded it, but I’m afraid I have the same questions as the fella that commented on Chris J. Davis’ blog:
-Should the trackinfo.txt file be in the root directory of the blog or somewhere else?
-What should I place in my index template to display the most recent tracks?
