If your office is like mine, people expect you to do work during office hours, so in the spirt of friday slack and not doing what your told not to, I present:

  1. Portable Firefox - a decent browser, unlike the standardly installed rubbish. You can evey make it look like IE for a better disguise.
  2. portable Gaim1 multi-client supported IM app, on a stick.
  3. Meebo2 - clever browser (AJAX) based chat.
  4. Bloglines - If your blocked site has a feed, subscribe and read
  5. The ‘google proxy‘ - translating pages from english to english gives an unformated but readable page.

It is quite possible that since the IT police don’t want you doing these things, and they might be a little annoyed if you get caught. Or you could just do work instead.

  1. If the IT police are are worth their pay they have probably blocked the ports. ↑
  2. Might work if Gaim does not. ↑
