Coverflow is a amazingly beautiful album-browser for iTunes (Mac only). Essentially, it automagically generates cover art from your library or from the internet and lets you flick through your virtual album collection. As a person who likes to play albums in their entirety, rather than pick and mix play lists, it is a great interface for me.

I can really see Apple trying to get their hands on something like this, it would look great embedded in iTunes and using it for ‘browse albums’ in Frontrow, it would be stunning.

So, I am on the lookout for a new set – SoundSticks would be nice but maybe a little spendy, and I have a feeling they may be form over function. They will only be for the bedroom, so I don’t need a huge amount of power just good quality sound.

Any suggestions for ones to look at (or avoid like the plague) would be greatly appreciated.

I am also planning to get a slightly bigger set for the lounge sometime, along with an amp and some contraption to get music off the laptop wirelessly2.

1 They were on their way but I think it was The Prodigy’s ‘Razor’ at full bore (I left the iBook on full volume by mistake), that was the final nail.
2 Any suggestions for this would be good too.
