If you have arrived here directly, there is a whole blog attached too. Clicking the name in the header will take you there.
Another Nucleus theme and another by Ivan Fong. I have kpet things simple, there are just the minimum of files so you can customise and extend as you wish (and there is a lot that can be done with a conditional statement or two rather than create a whole new page.
Things worth mentioning:
- Valid XHTML code.
- Font-size selector.
- Included .psd file for menu titles
- Tested on IE6 (XP Pro), Safari, Safari2 and Firefox 1.5 (Mac).
- Gratis, buck-shee, libre, frei, 自由 goodness. Just promise to be nice to somebody today if you download it.
Legal:
The Leaf theme is licensed under a GPL license. Basically, this means that you’re free to do what you like with it as long as you redistribute it under the same license.
At the moment the footer contains links to mine and the original authors pages. There is no obligation to keep them, though a link somewhere (or even just an e-mail to say you are using it) would be nice.
Installation:
- Read the readme file.
- Note: Leaf has been ported for WP2.0.2.
- Download, unzip, ftp to the themes/ folder then activate it via the WP admin panel.
- If you have problems check file permissions – 775 for folders and 644 for files.
Notes:
Now here’s the bad news. I am not a CSS, HTML or PHP guru. The porting was done with what experience I have, and as such, cannot really help with problems. I have done my best to ensure browser compatibility, I’ll try to help, but no guarantees.
You can download the theme here (156kb).

Great work on the site!
I am actually intrigued with the way the sample Leaf theme image pops up on this page.
Is this a plugin for images that makes them pop up in a separate window for display? I want to adopt WordPress but I need images to either pop up or show in a target page.
If you can offer any advice as to how to do this, please let me know, my email is included.
thanks!
I am using the Lightbox plugin (version 0.5 I think). The image is just a thumbnail linked to a larger image, adding

How to translate it to portuguese “pt_BR” ?????
To be honest I am not sure, though I know you will have to do the headings by hand with Photoshop as they are images, rather than generated dynamically.
A very beautiful theme. Leaf happens to be my favorite web theme to date. I used it when was on Nucleus and am happy to see it here for wpress aswell. Nice job.
